Hopefully tomorrow I will enter into the Confrere du Sabre d'Or, that is the organisation that promoted the opening of Champagne with a sword. Clare Logue from the Confrere is coming down to the hotel to fill me in on the procedures and all being well, I'll perform my sabrage and be invested into the Confrere as a Sabreur, the first rung on the ladder.
Hopefully I'll be able to get a picture of the event and post it online tomorrow.
